Day 62 Report

.Day 62 - 27/7/07 - Starting Downstream from Louth

Steve's Report: We went to Louth school and spent a very enjoyable hour or so talking to the kids. Also teachers Deborah Neilsen and Katy MaGuire. The kids gave us postcards of the Louth school which we will send to friends in due course. Again, all the questions from the kids were well tought out. Mrs Nielsen stumped them with a question on what type of word is kayak. I wasn't allowed answer. It is an anagram. All Louth students will remember that now eh!

Paddling was pretty much like yesterday with clear water. There was a westerly head wind which was a challenge but luckily it didn't get over about twenty knots.

We managed to make phone contact with David Bristow who is meeting us Saturday night. Simmonds and Bristow is a major sponsor of the trip and we are looking forward to showing David some of what it is about. I'm sure most of you know what S&B does in the water industry but if not check out their web site via the sponsors page.
